PG Research Centre
The Department of Chemistry is a dynamic centre for research at the frontiers of Chemical Science. The emphasis of the PG centre at the curricular level is to give a broad coverage of most common branches of chemistry in keeping with the inter-disciplinary nature of the subject today.
Catering to the needs of the students , educational institutions , research establishments and industries , the Post Graduate department of Chemistry is recognized as a Research Centre by the Kuvempu University, Shimoga for studied leading to M.phil, and Ph.D., programmes in Chemistry from the year January 2007.
The department has a separate well equipped research laboratory. Dr.M.Ramaiah has been recognized as the research Guide from July 2008. Four reasearch scholars are working for Ph.D and 07 for M.Phil. two of them have presented poster presentations in 02 International conferences conducted by the Bangalore university and Kuvempu University. |
