Academic Life
Catering to the needs of the students,educational institutions, researchestablishments, the Post Graduate Department of Women’s studies,established in the year  1992  has becomethe cynosure in view of its depth and variety in curriculum. The department offers the course of M.A in “Women’s Studies” in view of its great demand.

The department has evolved many novel educational concepts and gives emphasis on research projects in areas of prime demand. Highly qualified faculty provide personalized attention and ensure individual blooming of the student. The student faculty ratio is 4:1 To provide a sound foundation to the students, the curriculum design is based for both slow and advanced learners based on social relevance, global trends and employment opportunities.The department has networking with Women’s University Bijapur, Kannada University , Hampi, Mysore University , Mysore.

Research Centre
The  Department of Women’s Studies has been sanctioned the Center for Women’s Studies under the XI plan period by the UGC.

Admissions:

• Admission process starts from June of each academic year
• Application for admissions are  available in the NMKRV College office during office hours by payment of Rs.250/-.
• For application form click.
• 50% of the Management seats will be filled till the quota is over.
  50% of the Merit seats will be filled immediately after the college and Bangalore University results are announced.

Eligibility Criterion
Students with  any degree( BA, BSc, BCom)with minimum 50 percentage. (Relaxation to SC/ST/Cat-I: Relaxation in minimum marks for admission is permitted as per Government rule existing from time to time).
